If you do any type of business, you need to let people know and get some visibility, right? I mean this isn’t really rocket science.
So where do you start? Well, if you have a physical business location, then you need good signs to draw attention and attract customers. Signs like anything else these days have evolved and the options are unlimited. Signs have several usages:
- To Identify
- To Inform
- To Sell
- To Direct
In a survey done by the US Chamber of Commerce, more than 50% of businesses surveyed said that the primary way customers find them is through “On-Premise” signs. When you consider the cost of advertising media such as yellow pages, signs and graphics provide a very cost effective and permanent alternative to such expensive media.
A good sign reinforces one’s name and brand which is huge in creating the right perception. A proper sign instills confidence in the customer’s mind. It gives the sense that this is a legitimate and permanent business and not a fly-by-night operation.
Signs as with any other product get old and fade especially if they are outside. So from time to time they need to be refreshed and updated. For special events or seasonal ad campaigns, a new banner or other temporary signs and graphics can do wonders in attracting attention and bringing in new business.
So get a new sign. Change the old one. Get a fresh new look and bring in more customers and dollars!
